By this contempt petition, the petitioner seeks action against the respondent for willful disobedience of the order dated 23.01.2014.

It is stated on behalf of the petitioner that though this Court had directed the respondent to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a time frame, the Scrutiny Committee has not decided the same.

Shri Dharmadhikari, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent, states on instructions from one of the members of the Committee, who is present in the Court today that due to want of quorum, the order could not be complied with, within the time frame. It is stated that the caste claim of the petitioner is decided by the order dated 16.09.2016.

In view of the statement made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, it would not be proper to proceed with the contempt petition any longer. Hence, we dispose of the contempt petition with no order as to costs.
