Learned counsel for petitioner seeks withdrawal of the petition as there is an alternative and efficacious remedy provided under Section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further prays that the Divisional Commissioner be directed to decide the appeal within a stipulated period, if it is so filed within two weeks. 4.
