The petitioner is assailing the judgment in appeal and under which the appeal challenging the conviction of the petitioner for offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is dismissed. 2] The petitioner has remedy of invoking the revisional jurisdiction under Section 397 of the Criminal Procedure Code challenging the dismissal of the appeal. 3] While the existence of the revisional remedy may not preclude this Court from exercising inherent powers, in the facts of the present case, the appropriate remedy is the revisional remedy. The petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner pursue the revisional remedy, if so advised. JUDGE
