By this Writ Petition, the petitioners have sought a direction against the respondent nos.1 to 3 to take expeditious steps in the matter of the complaint filed by the petitioners under the provisions of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (Financial Establishments) Act and complete the proceedings within a stipulated time.

Shri Damle, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor states on instructions received from the Additional Superintendent of Police, Pune that steps have been taken in the complaint filed by the petitioners and the matter is now pending before the 36th Additional District Judge, Mumbai (Special Court under the MPID Act). It is stated that the grievance of the petitioners should stand

redressed in view of this development.

By accepting the statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, we dispose of the Criminal Writ Petition, with no order as to costs.
