We have heard Shri U.J. Deshpande, learned counsel for the petitioners and Shri N.H. Joshi, learned AGP for respondent Nos. 2 & 3.

Without observing anything on merits of the controversy and leaving all challenges raised by the petitioners open, we permit the petitioners to move the Competent Authority under Section 41-A of the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, for appropriate directions. If such an application is moved, the Authority shall consider it as expeditiously as possible.

Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
