The petitioner is claiming that he belongs to "Gond Gowari" tribe, which, according to the petitioner, is the sub-tribe of "Gond" and therefore, he is desirous of establishing his claim on the basis of affinity of "Gond Gowari" community with the ' Gond' Tribe, but, this would be possible only if the respondent Committee takes up the application of the petitioner for scrutiny and final decision in an expeditious manner. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a student and therefore, there is an urgency for the petitioner to get his tribe claim decided in accordance with law, without which, the petitioner may not be in a position to effectively pursue his academic goals.

In view of above, we are of the view that this petition which seeks a limited relief, can be allowed. 5.

The Writ Petition is allowed.

The respondent Committee is directed to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of the order.

Rule in above terms. No costs.
