The petitioner seeks employment on compassionate ground in place of his father, who died on 31.03.1997 while in service as Mazoor in the establishment of the respondent No.2 - Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department, Nagpur.

At the time when the father expired, the petitioner was about 20 years of age. The application for providing employment on the compassionate ground was made for the first time on 12.01.2010 and this petition is filed in the year 2019. Hence, these facts are enough to dismiss this writ petition. The Writ Petition is therefore, dismissed.
