The parties are permitted to compound the offence. The accused is acquitted of offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and the judgments impugned are set aside.

The original complainant is permitted to withdraw the amount of Rs.85,000/- deposited in this Court by the accused.
