The applicant-woman is apprehending arrest in Crime 733/2020 registered with Police Station Washim (City) for offences punishable under Sections 294, 323, 307, 504 and 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Perusal of the material on record reveals that the primary allegations are against the co-accused and there is only a vague and general allegation that the applicant also assaulted the injured.

Pursuant to the conditions imposed while granting interim protection, the applicant has attended the police station and it is not even the case of the prosecution that she has misused the liberty.

In any event, in so far as the applicant is concerned, there is no need of custodial interrogation. 6.

Considering that the applicant is a woman and the role attributed is not serious, the interim protection granted vide order dated 02-11-2020 is made absolute with the modification that till the charge-sheet is filed, the applicant shall attend the concerned police station as and when required by the Investigating Officer.
