This writ petition takes exception to the order dated 14th June, 2024 passed by respondent no.1the Additional Collector, Yavatmal, in Gram Panchayat Dispute No. 102/35(3)B/2023.

The petitioner was elected as a Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat Wadki which consists of eleven members. On 13th April, 2023, respondent nos. 4 to 13 in their capacity as members of the Gram Panchayat issued a requisition to respondent No.2-the Tahsildar proposing to move a motion of no confidence against the petitioner. In the meeting held pursuant to the said SKNair

922-wp-3718-24(j).odt requisition ten members voted in favour of the motion of no confidence.

By the order impugned, respondent no.1 has rejected the dispute filed by the petitioner against the no confidence motion.

It is not in dispute that notice of meeting was served upon the petitioner. The grievance is the grounds on which the motion of no confidence was moved were not supplied to the petitioner. However, admittedly the application was sent by the petitioner to adjourn the meeting on the ground of her ill-health. Even in that application no such grievance was made. Considering the overall facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to interfere in the order impugned. The writ petition is dismissed.
