DATE : 20/08/2019 As per the order of Railway Claims Tribunal, Nagpur, the amount of compensation of Rs.4,00,000/- was granted to the respondent.

The appeal was filed by Union of India through The General Manager, South Central Railway, Secunderabad. The appeal was registered as First Appeal No. 1309 of 2009. The said appeal was decided on 21.02.2019. As per the judgment in First Appeal No. 1309 of 2009, the appeal is allowed. Appellant is entitled to receive the amount of compensation deposited before this Court alongwith accrued interest. The appellant has deposited Rs.4,00,000/- before this Court. Out of that amount, the amount of Rs.2,00,000/- has withdrawn by the respondent on 15.04.2010.

Hence, the balance amount of Rs.2,00,000/- alongwith accrued interest be given to the appellant.
