Admittedly trial in the present Crime No.231/2015 registered for offence under Sections 363, 366-A, 368, 376, 109, 114 of Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3, 4 and 8 of POSCO Act is stated to have commenced before the Sessions Court at Washim.

It is contended that as many as thirty witnesses are listed in charge-sheet and evidence of about six witnesses is already recorded including that of the prosecutrix. In that view of the matter, learned counsel for the applicant submits that instead of deciding the application on merits, directions be issued to the trial Court for expeditious disposal of the sessions trial. Learned Addl. Public Prosecutor has no objection for considering facts as aforesaid and since trial is already stated to have commenced, application is

Application stands disposed of as dismissed with liberty to applicant to file afresh in the event the trial is not concluded by 31/03/2017.

Needless to say that the learned Sessions Court who is seized with this sessions case shall make an endevour to dispose of Sessions Case arising out of Crime No.231/2015 before 31/03/2017.
