This Petition challenges the order dated 12-05-2022 passed by the learned Family Court, Amravati in an application filed under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, whereby the respondent has been granted maintenance pendente lite @ of Rs.20,000/- per month from the date of filing of application till the decision of the petition or further order of the Court as well as Rs.10,000/- as litigation charges.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent is already getting rental income and has substantial assets available with her in the form of bank deposits. However, nothing has been placed on record to substantiate this contention. It is also an admitted position that in the proceedings earlier filed by the respondent i.e. P.W.D.V.A. Complaint Case No.254/2016,

2/2 she was granted interim maintenance @ of Rs.30,000/- pm. However, since the P.W.D.V.A complaint was dismissed, the petitioner has stopped paying the maintenance to the respondent. Considering that the petitioner is having a pension of Rs. 88,501/- per month and no liabilities have been pointed out, I do not find any reason to interfere in the order impugned in this case. 4.
