IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY:
NAGPUR BENCH : NAGPUR Criminal Writ Petition No. 544 of 2018 [Namdeo Vishwanathrao Kadu Vs. State of Mah. Home Deptt. & others] Office Notes, Office Memoranda of Coram, appearances, Court's orders Court's or Judge's orders or directions and Registrar's orders.
Mr. V. G. Bhamburkar, Adv., for the petitioner. Ms. T. Udeshi, APP for respondent nos. 1 to 6. ---- CORAM : P. N. DESHMUKH AND SMT. PUSHPA V. GANEDIWALA, JJ.
DATE : 21st June, 2019 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for respondent nos. 1 to 6. None for respondent nos. 7 to 9, though served.
Limited prayer in the petition is to issue directions to respondent nos. 1 to 6 to investigate Crime No. 402/2017 and file a charge-sheet before the competent Court.
The petition was filed on 11th June, 2018. Thereafter, by filing a Pursis St. No. 1811 of 2019 dated 28th March, 2019, the respondent nos. 1 to 6 brought on record that in this crime, charge-sheet is filed on 21st July, 2018 before the competent Court.
In view of the limited prayer and since it is seen from the Pursis, and as has been admitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner, that the charge-sheet is filed, we find no reason to keep the petition pending, as the purpose of filing the same is served.
In the circumstances, the petition stands disposed of as rendered infructuous.
