Only relief sought by the petitioner is for a direction to Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Amravati (for short the "Scrutiny Committee") to decide the petitioner's tribe claim.

On 27.07.2022 the learned Assistant Government Pleader was directed to obtain instructions as to the period within which the verification proceeding would be completed. Today, on instructions, it is submitted that the report of the Vigilance Cell has been received and decision on the petitioner's proposal would be taken within a period of six months.

Considering that the petitioner is a student who desires to pursue further education coupled with the fact that the report of the Vigilance Cell has been received, the Scrutiny Committee is directed to decide the proposal/caste claim of the petitioner within SMGate

909wp 4239.2022.odt a period of three months from the date the petitioner appears before the Scrutiny Committee.

The petitioner shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 17.08.2022 to facilitate such adjudication. The decision taken by the Scrutiny Committee be communicated to the petitioner. The writ petition is allowed. Rule is disposed of with aforesaid directions. No costs.
