Our attention is invited by the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent Municipal Council to a communication dated 14.06.2019, addressed to the petitioner. Similarly, advertisements were also issued asking the residents of the locality to comply with the instructions given to them. It is the assurance given in the said communication also that if compliance is made, the water connection shall be restored.

We find that there is tampering with the water connection so as to extract water from the pipeline. Certain things are required to be restored by the residents, hence, we do not find any reason to entertain the petition. The same is dismissed. No costs.

In view of the aforesaid dismissal of the Writ Petition, Contempt Petition does not survive. The proceedings are therefore, dropped.
