Any interference at this stage would stall the election programme as the election programme is set in motion. As such in view of the judgment of the Apex Court in the case of Election Commission of India through Secretary Vs. Ashok Kumar reported in 2000(6) SCALE 182, the writ petition is disposed of.

Needless to say that the rejection of the petition would not come in the way of the petitioners in taking any remedy available in law.
