He is working on the post of Junior Clerk with the respondent No.2. According to the petitioner his caste certificate was forwarded to the Scrutiny Committee on 22/07/2013 for verification. During pendency of that process the respondent No.2 issued an order placing the services of the petitioner on a supernumerary post. Being aggrieved the petitioner had approached this Court by filing Writ Petition No.720/2020. By the order dated 04/02/2020 the Scrutiny Committee was directed to decide the claim of the petitioner within a period of one year from 17/02/2020. His services were also protected subject to such adjudication. Since another order

22-WP-415-21 2/2 placing the petitioner on supernumerary post was issued, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.

Pursuant to the order dated 20/01/2022 the learned Assistant Government Pleader on instructions submits that on 03/06/2021 the petitioner's application seeking scrutiny of his caste certificate was rejected for a technical reason that is nonsubmission of relevant documents. She submits that presently the petitioner's claim is not pending with the Scrutiny Committee.

In that view of the matter the petitioner would be required to take further steps pursuant to the rejection of his application on 03/06/2021. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to take such steps as are permissible in law for seeking verification of his caste certificate.
