This application is absolutely misconceived.

2] The application is taken out, "for permission to respondent to apply for renewal of passport". 3] No provision of law is brought to my notice which mandates a permission from this Court for the applicant to apply for renewal of passport.

4] The application is rejected.

5] Needless to say, if the passport is not renewed on the ground that the State appeal against the acquittal is pending, the applicant shall be free to challenge the said decision in appropriate proceedings.
