DATE : 03.08.2016 By this civil application, the applicant seeks appropriate direction to the respondents to grant permits to the eligible members of the petitioner - Association without asking them to fulfil the condition about the requirement of the knowledge of Marathi.

Shri Thakare, the learned Additional Government Pleader has tendered a reply to the civil application in the Court today. The same is accepted on record. It is stated in the reply that the respondents would issue the permit to the Members of the petitioner - Association, that are otherwise qualified to receive the permit. It is stated on behalf of the respondents that the respondents would not insist for fulfillment of the condition in respect of the knowledge of Marathi, while issuing the permits.

In view of the statement made in the affidavit-inreply, the relief sought by the petitioner in this application stands granted.

Hence, we dispose of the civil application by accepting the statement made on behalf of the respondents, that would be binding on the respondents.
