SEPTEMBER 24, 2025 The petition seeks directions to the respondents to select the petitioner for open prison and extend benefits thereof.

2] Thus, the petitioner is, in a way, has made a request to consider his case for open prison. 3] The learned A.P.P. submits that decision has been taken on 3/4/2024, thereby rejecting the request of the petitioner to transfer him to open prison. She submits that the decision was taken prior to filing petition. 4] It appears that the petitioner was unaware of the decision and, therefore, has not challenged the same.

5] With liberty to the petitioner to take recourse to the remedy as available in law, the petition is accordingly disposed of.
