Merely because the names of certain persons/candidates are included in the select list for appointment, that does not give any legal right to the petitioners, who were the candidates in the selection challenging the select list by filing these writ petitions. We are, therefore, not inclined to entertain these petitions. The petitioners shall, however, be at liberty to challenge the appointment, if any, made pursuant to such selection. All questions are left open. The petitions are dismissed.
