JANUARY 25, 2017 By this writ petition, the petitioners seek a direction against the respondent no.2 to reserve the post of Chairman of Panchayat Samiti, Buldana for the Scheduled Caste category.

The cause for filing the writ petition must have been rendered infructuous due to the passage of time as the writ petition is filed in the year 2009 and the tenure of the members of the Panchayat Samiti is five years and the same must have been expired during the pendency of the writ petition. While admitting the writ petition, we had declined to grant any interim relief.

Since, the cause for filing the writ petition is rendered infructuous, the writ petition is disposed of with no order as to costs.
