A Pursis along with receipt of payment, dated 19/06/2025, is placed on record by the petitioner, thereby stating that the penalty of Rs.86,500/- is already deposited with the Transport Department towards the overload transportation of minerals.

It is not in dispute that the vehicle of the petitioner is already released Yesterday.

There is no reason as to why the respondent No.2 should have detained the vehicle of the petitioner that too without any authority of law viz. neither an offence is registered nor an enquiry is conducted. Rather it is for the respondent Nos.1 and 3, who have every right to look into the alleged default committed by the petitioner.

However, since the vehicle of the petitioner is already released and it is assured by the Superintendent of

WP 2874 of 2025.odt Police, who had appeared in person Yesterday before the Court, that he shall sensitize his officers in serious manner in the matter of illegal detention of the vehicle, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition, by accepting the aforesaid assurance from the Superintendent of Police, Amravati.

The writ petition is disposed of the accordingly. No order as to costs.
