By this application the Scrutiny Committee seeks for extension of six months time to complete to decide the caste claim of the petitioner.

While deciding the Writ Petition No.3847 of 2023, this Court vide order dated 06.07.2023 directed the Scrutiny Committee to complete the process of verification within three months. Later on, again period of three months has been extended vide order dated 05.12.2023.

Now, the extension is sought on the ground that the Scrutiny Committee desires to verify the documents through the Forensic Lab. The reasons may be whatever, however it is apparent that despite the direction, time to time extension has been sought.

In view of that, time is extended by three months with a rider, that if the verification/process is not complete, this Court may impose heavy costs.

The Civil Application stands disposed of.
