Heard.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the hawkers who moved this Court for protecting their means of livelihood. He fairly submits that after the judgment of the Honourable Apex Court in the case of Maharashtra Ekta Hawkers Union and anr ..vs.. Municipal Corporation, Greater Mumbai and ors, reported at (2014)1 SCC 490, the challenge is rendered infructuous. He submits that as per that decision, the Committees have been constituted and necessary steps are being taken.

Shri Marpakwar, learned counsel, therefore, seeks leave to withdraw the present writ petitions with liberty to approach again, if any cause of action arises.

Learned counsel for the respondents are opposing the grant of liberty.

However, in the light of the directions issued by the Honourable Apex Court in its judgment cited supra, we grant leave to withdraw the writ petitions with liberty as prayed for.

Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of with liberty.
