By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction against the respondents to grant the petitioner-College affiliation with regard to 50 seats.

According to the petitioner, the intake capacity of the College was initially 50 seats but, the same was reduced to 40 seats for the academic session 2001-02. Though necessary compliances were made by the petitioner, the respondent no.1-University did not restore the intake capacity to 50 seats.

On 26.02.2003, while admitting the writ petition, an interim order was passed directing the respondent no.2 to grant provisional sanction for 10 seats in accordance with law. Shri Jaiswal, the learned counsel for the respondent no.1, states that from the academic session 2003-04 onwards, the intake capacity of the petitioner-College has been restored to 50 seats.

In view of the aforesaid and considering the interim order dated 26.02.2003, the purpose of filing the present writ petition appears to have been served.

WP890-03 Hence, the writ petition stands disposed of with no order as to costs. Rule stands discharged.
