By this application the applicant seeks condonation of delay of 86 days in preferring the appeal against the order of conviction in Special POCSO Case No.124/2017 though the applicant has claimed delay of 86 days. However, the office has calculated the delay of only 38 days. Be that as it may, the reason mentioned in the application that after the conviction he is in jail and also during the pandemic period he could not contact with his family members for engaging a lawyer and, therefore, the delay is caused in preferring the appeal.

For the reasons mentioned in the application, the delay of 38 days caused in filing the appeal is condoned. The application is allowed and disposed of accordingly. The appeal be registered.
