Heard learned counsel for the parties.

In this case, the petitioner applied for parole on the ground of ill health of his wife. However, on verification which includes statement of the petitioner's father-in-law, it was found that the wife was not ill and further the father-inlaw was also not willing to stand as surety or take responsibility for the conduct of the petitioner. On this occasion, we do not see any reason for grant of parole. This will not preclude the petitioner for applying parole/furlough in terms of the Rules, if such occasion so arises. 3.

This is more-so because the petitioner has pointed out that co-accused has been granted benefits of the parole on some occasions in the past.

With the aforesaid liberty, we dispose of this writ petition. There shall be no order for costs.
