By letter dated 05/08/2025, received from the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Mehkar, District Buldhana is seeking extension of six months to conclude the trial.

On perusal of the letter, it reveals that 19 witnesses have already been examined. A total of 33 witnesses are cited in the charge-sheet. The learned Sessions Judge has also provided reasons regarding the pendency of other cases. While the pendency of other cases cannot be a ground for granting an extension, considering the progress made so far and the examination of 19 witnesses, a further six-month period is extended.

In view of the above, the learned Additional Sessions Judge shall dispose of the trial within six months without seeking any further extension. 4.
