DATE : 29.09.2022 Heard learned counsel for the parties for quite some time. We are not inclined to grant relief to the appellant.

At this stage, learned counsel for the appellant seeks permission to withdraw the appeal with a request to direct the trial Court to expedite the trial. 3.

Considering the fact that the appellant is in jail from 21.01.2021, we request learned Judge of the trial Court to expedite the trial. We reserve liberty to the appellant to file fresh application before the trial Court for releasing him on bail in the event there is no substantial progress in the trial for nine months from today, for the reasons not attributable to the accused. 4.

With this, the appeal is disposed of as withdrawn.
