The arms license of the petitioner came to be permanently cancelled vide order impugned dated 01/11/2023 as the petitioner was involved in Crime No.365/2020 registered with Hingna Police Station. 3.

Shri Jagtap, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner on instructions states that the petitioner is already acquitted and in such an eventuality, he may be given an opportunity to represent his case before the licensing authority so as to have restoration of the license and renewal of the same.

In view of the factual statement made by the counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is acquitted in Crime No.365/2020 registered with Hingna Police Station vide order dated 24/07/2024 as the said proceedings were stopped under Section 258 of the Criminal Procedure Code and the petitioner was discharged, we deem it appropriate to permit the petitioner to appear before the licensing authority with detail representation and documents with his prayer for

In case if such request is made, same be considered in the light of the observations made herein above and appropriate orders be passed thereon within a period of three months from the date of such representation.

If so required, the licensing authority shall be at liberty to give personal hearing to the petitioner.
