By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent - Corporation to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground.

The learned counsel for the respondent no. 2 has tendered an affidavit in reply in the Court today. It is stated in the affidavit in reply that the subject of appointment on compassionate ground was discussed in the meeting at the State level and it was decided that the appointments should be made on compassionate ground as per the placement of the candidates in the waiting list. It is stated that the process of appointing the candidates would be completed in three years in steps.
