IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

NAGPUR BENCH : NAGPUR WRIT PETITION NO.595 OF 2003 (Mrs. Gitabai Deepraj Pardikar vs. Scheduled Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee and others) __________________________________________________________________ Office Notes, Office Memoranda of Coram, appearances, Court's orders Court's or Judge's orders or directions and Registrar's orders.

Mrs. M.N. Hiwase, Assistant Government Pleader for respondent nos.2 and 3.

-------- CORAM : B.P. DHARMADHIKARI AND P.N. DESHMUKH, JJ.

DATED : MARCH 23, 2016 After issuing rule in the matter on 7/2/2003, it appears that petitioner approached Hon'ble Apex Court. On 14/4/2003, the Hon'ble Apex Court dismissed Special Leave Petition (Civil) No. 5935-5938/2003, but allowed her to move this Court for expeditious hearing of writ petition. Thereafter on 25/1/2007, in view of statement made by learned Counsel for petitioner, notice came to be issued asking petitioner to engage services of other Advocate. Notice had been served prior to 22/2/2007. On 5/4/2007, Division Bench of this Court permitted the then Counsel for the petitioner to withdraw Vakalatnama and matter was

2303wp595.03 2/2 directed to be listed for admission again.

The matter has not been listed for admission thereafter and petitioner has not chosen to engage any Advocate.

Challenge in the matter is to invalidation of caste claim and petitioner wanted validity for contesting election. Interim relief was rejected. In this situation, it is apparent that petitioner has lost interest in the matter. The petition is, therefore, dismissed as infructuous. No costs. JUDGE JUDGE khj
