DATED : AUGUST 24, 2023 The petitioner no.1, who is a student, and the petitioner no.2, who is a farmer, seek issuance of appropriate directions by urging that the respondent no.5 discharged duties on the post of Pro-Vice Chancellor for the period from 29/1/2023 to 3/2/2023 in an illegal manner. It is the case of the petitioners that the Vice Chancellor of the respondent no.4 University having expired on 28/1/2023, the respondent no.5 was not entitled to continue further as the Pro-Vice Chancellor on the ground that the said term was co-terminus with the term of the Vice Chancellor.

2) In the writ petition, there are no averments to indicate the legal injury caused to the petitioners to seek the prayers in the writ petition. It is merely stated that a communication in this regard has been issued to the Hon' ble Chancellor.

2408wp5433.23 2/2 3) In the absence of any legal injury having been suffered by the petitioners, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition. The petitioners are free to seek redressal of their grievance, if any, by pursuing other remedies. The writ petition is dismissed.
