DATED : 06-07-2017 Caste claim of the petitioner is under consideration since November 2016. The petitioner is already admitted to 1st Year Engineering Course with respondent No.3-College.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.1 will require more time to complete verification.

Papers placed with petition show that caste of grandfather Pralhad has been recorded as Halbi way back in 1948. Similarly, caste of great-grandfather Namdeo has been recorded as Halbi in 1926.

In this situation, we direct respondent No.2Committee to complete verification of caste claim as per law within one year.

2 wp4103.17 We also direct respondent No.3-College to admit the petitioner to 2nd Year Engineering Course and allow him to continue with education as Scheduled Tribe Candidate at his risk and costs.
