The writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to appear before the respondent no.2-The Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Gondia on July 08, 2024. The respondent no.2-Scrutiny Committee is directed to take a decision on the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioner. While taking the decision, the respondent no.2-Scrutiny Committee shall be sensitive to the observations made by the Apex Court in paragraph 23 of the judgment in Maharashtra Adiwasi Thakur Jamat Swarakshan Samiti Versus State of Maharashtra & Others [2023(2) Mh.L.J. 785] as it is claimed by the counsel for the petitioner that number of blood relations of the petitioner are holding the caste validity certificate.
