CORAM : SMT.VASANTI A. NAIK AND MRS. SWAPNA JOSHI, JJ.
DATE : JULY 15 , 2016.
The only prayer made by the petitioner in the instant writ petition is for a direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as early as possible as the petitioner is not being promoted in the absence of the caste validity certificate.
Since the vigilance enquiry is already completed in the matter of verification of the caste claim of the petitioner and since the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is innocuous, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within four months from the date of the appearance of the petitioner before the Scrutiny Committee. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 25.07.2016.
Order accordingly. No costs.
