These are the applications for deleting respondent Nos.3 and 4 from the array of the respondents. Learned Advocate for the petitioner has no objection for grant of those prayers. The respondent No.5/returned candidate wants to file reply to these applications. I have heard learned Advocate Shri Sambre for respondent No.5. According to him, the foundation of the election petition is the report submitted by the Election Officer. That is why, the presence of these respondents is required. Whereas, learned Government Pleader apprised me about the legal provisions and observations made to that effect.
In view of the submission, respondent No.5 is permitted to file reply to these applications. Once reply is filed, after hearing both the sides, appropriate decision will be taken.
