Heard Shri S.P. Bhandarkar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Shri A.S. Fulzele, learned Acting G.P. for respondent nos. 1 and 3, Shri D.M. Kale, learned Counsel for respondent no.2 and Shri A.D. Bhate, learned Counsel for respondent nos. 4 to 6. 2.

Mandate of Rule 7 of the Maharashtra Local Authority Members Disqualification Rules, 1987 is clear.

We are therefore not inclined to look into the roaznama to find out which party is at fault. The respondent no.1 Collector possesses necessary powers to implement the mandate of law.

In Writ Petition No. 6361/2015, this Court has in similar situation directed decision within a period of three months. In present matter also we direct respondent no.1 Collector to proceed further expeditiously and to take final decision within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order to it.

Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
