Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties. In the present writ petition, the petitioners are asking for the following reliefs:

i) Issue and appropriate writ order or direction thereby directing the respondent no.1 to give identical/similar pay scale to the post of Assistant Superintendent and Shirastedar in Family Courts both being at par (equivalent) having same category (Class) as per representations of the petitioners;

(ii) Grant any other relief as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the interest of justice."

The petitioners at the same time made representation before the approaching to this Court to the Secretary, Law and Judiciary Department dated 01.02.2021 and the same is not yet decided and it is pending. 4.

The said representation was in relation to the revision of pay scale pertaining to the post of Assistant Superintendent and Shirastedar in Family Courts and grant suitable higher pay-scale to that post.

In the aforesaid backdrop, we are of the opinion that the purpose would be served, if the Secretary, Law and Judiciary, is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and take a decision on the same within a stipulated period.

Accordingly, we dispose of the present writ petition with directions to the respondent no. 1 to take a decision on the representation dated 01.02.2021 pending with the respondent no.1. While deciding the said representation, the respondent no.1 shall grant hearing to the petitioners, if the respondent no.1 deems it fit considering the nature of prayers made in the representation. The respondent no. 1 shall complete such exercise within a period of ten weeks from today.

The petitioners undertake to place the copy of this order before the respondent no.1 within two weeks from today.

With these directions, the petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
