After the matter is heard at some length, it is agreed between the parties that the writ petition may be disposed of by this Court without passing reasoned order. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner (appellant before the District Court) to pay interim compensation of Rs.3,000/- per month prospectively from today as a condition of stay of the decree of eviction granted in his favour. The District Court shall dispose of the appeal as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within a period of one year from today.
