Sudame, Advocate for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the prayer seeking restraining respondent No.2 from exercising the power to arrest the petitioner does not survive now as during the pendncy of the petition the petitioner received a show cause notice dated 21.5.2020 to which the petitioner submitted his reply and has also appeared in those proceedings. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 admits the same. Learned counsel for respondent No.2, on instructions, submits that the department would have no objection in releasing the passport of the petitioner.

In view of the above, the petition stands dismissed as

cri.wp525.19.odt infructuous. Passport be released to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.
