By this Contempt Petition, the petitioner has sought an action against the respondents under the Contempt of Courts Act for willfully and deliberately disobeying the order dated 20.06.2014, in Writ Petition No. 1856/2014.

According to the petitioners, by the said order, of which the contempt is alleged, the respondents were directed to grant a validity certificate to the petitioners, within a period of two weeks.

It is informed to this Court by the learned Assistant Government Pleader and it is also not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioners,

Order 2907cp140.14 that the order of which contempt is alleged, is challenged by the Scrutiny Committee before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, and the said order is stayed. In view of the aforesaid admitted position, the Contempt Petition is disposed of, with no order as to costs.
