The applicants are apprehending arrest in Crime 191/2018 registered with the Police Station Sakoli, District Bhandara for offence punishable under section 307 read with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The applicants and the complainant apparently have running feud over a land dispute. Although the allegation is that kerosene was poured on her body and that an attempt was made to set her afire, no burn injuries are noted in the medico legal report. As a fact, the reply of the prosecution is that the complainant came to the police station to lodge the report riding on bicycle. In the teeth of the accusation and the material on record, the interim order dated 26.06.2018 is confirmed with the modification that the applicant shall attend Police Station Sakoli as and when required by the Investigating Officer.
