DATED : AUGUST 17, 2022 The petitioners, who are elected members of the respondent nos.2 and 3 Cooperative Society, are aggrieved by the failure of the said Society to hold General Body meeting and in absence thereof, initiate process of recruitment. It is the grievance of the petitioners that such action is in contravention of Section 72 of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960.

2) Smt. Joshi, learned In-charge Government Pleader for the respondent no.1, submits that in view of provisions of Section 91 of the said Act, a dispute pertaining to conduct of general meetings, management or business of a Society has to be filed before the Cooperative Court.

3) In view of Section 91 of the said Act, the petitioners have got an efficacious alternate remedy. Hence, keeping the

1708wp4877.22 2/2 points raised in the writ petition open and with liberty to the petitioners to avail that remedy, the writ petition is not entertained. It is disposed of. The points raised therein are kept open.
