In view of amendment to Maharashtra Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, De-Notified Tribes (Vimukta Jatis), Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Special Backward Category (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of) Caste Certificate Act, 2000 (Maharashtra Act No.23 of 2001) and introduction of Section 4C therein by Ordinance, it is apparent that subject to fulfillment of procedure stipulated therein, petitioner is to be admitted to professional course provisionally, if he stands in merit. We, therefore, direct respondents to abide by said provision and treat petitioner accordingly. With these directions, petition is disposed of. No costs.
