CORAM : SMT. VASANTI A NAIK AND MRS. SWAPNA JOSHI, JJ.
DATED : NOVEMBER 28, 2016.
By this writ petition, the petitioner has sought a direction against the Municipal Council to release the unpaid retiral benefits to the petitioner at the earliest.
Shri Palshikar, the learned counsel for the Municipal Council, seeks eight months time to release the retiral benefits to the petitioner.
Since the claim of the petitioner is admitted by the respondent-Municipal Council and since in similar matters this court has issued a direction to the Municipal Council to pay the retiral dues of its employees within six months, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction against the Municipal Council to release the retiral benefits either in lump-sum or in instalments in favour of the petitioner positively within six months. Order accordingly. No costs.
