DATE : 22.01.2020 It is submitted on behalf of the learned counsel for the petitioners that the questions raised in these writ petitions have been adjudicated by this Court in Writ Petition No.6374/2017 (Hotel Manglya Bar & Restaurant Vs. State of Maharashra and others) with connected writ petitions vide judgment dated 18.11.2019. He submits that similar directions be issued while disposing of the writ petitions.
Shri B.M.Lonare, learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondents does not dispute the fact that the issues raised in the present writ petitions are similar to the issues that were decided in those writ petitions.
WP4540.17 2/2 Accordingly for the reasons recorded in aforesaid judgment, these writ petitions are disposed of by issuing the following directions :
(i) The petitioners are at liberty to make appropriate representation to the concerned Superintendent of State Excise within a period of fifteen days from today, either for grant or renewal of licences for continuation of liquor shops.
(ii) Keeping in view the law laid down by the Apex Court as clarified from time to time and the Government Circulars and clarifications issued thereafter, appropriate decision be taken, obviously after granting hearing to the parties concerned, in each matter, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of making representation.
(iii) It shall be open for the parties, if at all aggrieved by such decision, to approach this Court for redressal of their grievances.
No costs.
