By this application, the applicant has sought to condone the delay of 1891 days in preferring an appeal under Section 23 of the Railway Claims Tribunal Act, 1987. Learned Counsel for the respondent has opposed the application on the ground that no sufficient cause is made out.

Having considered the reasons stated in the application, which in my considered view constitutes sufficient ground, the delay is condoned.

The application stands disposed of.

Considering the narrow controversy involved in the appeal, the parties are put to notice that an
